This course, “Introduction to the Water Industry”, will present an overview of the industry, employment, and tips for student success as well as an introduction to the material that will be covered throughout the North Dakota Rural Water Apprenticeship program.

In this course students are introduced to the basics of water chemistry.

This course introduces major types and sources of chemical, biological and physical impurities that can affect a water system.

This course is meant to introduce the student to the skills and concepts they will need to be successful as operators working in the Water and Wastewater industry. Topics include, but are not limited to: basic mathematics, water chemistry, treatment processes and an introduction to equipment such as pumps and valves

This course introduces different pieces of equipment associated with water systems, particularly pumps and compressors.

This course introduces different sources of raw water used in water treatment facilities as well as methods of transporting it and protecting its quality.
